You can append a '-' to any tx.ly url and you will see a warning page - this lets users decide if they want to actually go to the final website.
For instance, if your long url is 'http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random' and the url you get back is 'http://tx.ly/k4', if you go to 'http://tx.ly/k4-' (Note the dash) then you will see a page asking if you want to continue to wikipedia.org.
We use SURBLs to check for spam sites. If the domain you try and enter is listed in the SURBL, then we won't allow linking to it.
We also don't allow links to other url shortening services to stop malicious users creating chains.
We reserve the right to delete any link at any time, solely at our discretion. We also won't be held accountable for any damages caused directly or indirectly through this service.
We do not collect any personally identifying information from this website. We store the IP address and approximate geographical information solely for the purposes of providing tracking data for the links. This information is only made available through our secure API to users with accounts. They can only interact with their own urls and cannot read data from others.
Any url made by tx.ly is not secure and should not be treated as such - do not link to sensitive or secure information.
